We has this discussion in the past on the softball forum. It went back and forth for awhile until Mike (IRISHMAFIA) pointed out that for approx 90% of the ASA rulebook, the rules are the same regardless of the method of delivery of the ball to the batter.
It's always best to preface your questions with a desired ruleset or interp. It just helps keep the discussion on track.
