This board is for officials, and officials don't care who wins. Officials know that other officials don't care who wins. By using the word "us" in the above sentence, you are clearly stating that you do care who wins. Thus, you are not an official (for purposes of posting about Kentucky), and do not belong on this baord.

Thank you, that is all.
A little extreme there Juulie.

Most officials are also fans of some team some where...just not at the level they work. That's were they probably got there interest in the game in the first place.
While an official working a game shouldn't care about who wins, there is no reason to be completely uninvolved in every level of the sport from a fan perspective.

I happen to be a fan of Kentucky. I care who wins. I'm not working the game or any game at that level....it's OK to pick sides. I just do so without the blue colored glasses worn by many of Kentucky's fans (or the color of any chosen school).

I think that the call in question was certainly debatable. The defender jumped across the front of the shooter and towards his side. Sparks jumped in a line that wasn't natural for the shot and into the defender's airborne path, that was not towards sparks. Sparks was foul hunting and Torbert was foul avoiding. Good no call.
