... reffed two JVG games this morning.
Some things that are rare, all happened today in my games.
1. Had a girl who routinely take 8 or 9s shooting FTs. I usually never reach 5s.
2. Not too many held balls, but we did have about eight (8) 10-second calls. Odd. I usually get 1 every other year.
3. Called a foul with the clock reading zeros, but no buzzer had sounded. Second time in my career.
4. We had 3 nice crashes in the paint. She made a mistake on the first one, and corrected for the next two.
5. Three (3!) charges where we shot bonus. Coach: "... you don't shoot..." He understands after I explain to him.
6. Second game started 10 minutes late. (Convenor didn't have scoresheets already filled out - something they usually do quite well here.) Finished 10 minutes ahead of time. That was due to excellent Dead Ball Officiating.
7. The girl I reffed with (and also eval'd two weeks ago) has started to know the shooter when a TO is granted, and now handles the arrow properly. I think she keeps it in her head. Good stuff.
