I'd love to!! But I'm serious. I don't want to read 3 whole rulebooks just to see the superiority of the American rule sets! So can any of you point me out the main differences that make FIBA rules so worthless?
Thanks!

OK, here goes. It's not that their rules are worthless, it's much more philosophical than that. Basketball was invented by a Canadian working in the U.S. For many years, this was the only place it was even played. Then the Euros come along and establish a "world governing body" for what is really our sport. They think they know better than us what rules are best for the sport. To me, this would be like some U.S. organization claiming it was the world governing body for opera. I guess you could say it's a feeling of resentment.
When you add that nation of surrender monkeys over there to the mix, and understand that the initials in FIBA aren't even in English (the home language of the founding country - the U.S.), it's no wonder some of us feel the way we do about the situation.
Mostly, it's all in fun (really) and nothing malicious is intended. Actually the french (I'll start capitalizing it when they earn the right by finally winning a war) do make good pastry.
