There are a lot of people in Champaign that were pissed about that as well. That's why there's a lot of businesses that are working hard to get it back - even ones that will not get any financial benefit from the tournament. There was a lot of complacency before; after all, the tournament had been here for around 70 years, and people took it for granted. I don't think they'll do that again. Well, at least for another 70 years.
