Baseball would never have a problem making this call but softball can never get it right...Same sport, bat and ball and pitcher and hitter but for some reason a different call...
No, it is NOT the same sport, NOT even close to the same bat or ball, NOT the same pitcher, style of delivery, originating point of release or movement of the ball, NOR is it the same batter.

I am willing to wager that if a batter "roll" or "break" their wrist, it will appear to be a swing, not a bunt.
