Even if you wanted to be licensed at this point they probably wouldn't let you take the test now because you'll have to renew them both in just a couple of months. That would be a total waste of money. The fee for the first licenses would buy you some good referee equipment for either sport.
Wait until June. And welcome to this illustrious bunch of keen minds and humble egos.(You'll understand that statement better with tume!) LOL
As for both basketball and soccer, no previous experience requirements for either. The rules for NFHS and FIFA do have some differences, so if you have FIFA experience you'll notice the differences right away.
