The batted ball passes F6 without being touched by him and no other fielder has a chance to make an out on the ball when R1 is hit by the ball.
Ruling
The ball is live, no infraction (8-8K; 8-1E[2])
Now, here is another fly in the pudding. 8.1.E.2 also states "infielder" as does 8.9.P!
I seem to recollect that the wording was changed a few years ago from infielder to fielder as the powers that be took into consideration shallow outfielders in the JO game and the fifth man in the infield at the higher level SP games.
It just seems to have been overlooked by those who proof and edit the book.
