Sounds like the best thing for you to do is to contact the high school athletic association for your state and find out the contact information for your local official's association. Once you have that, you can contact them and see what they suggest. It is different in every area. Some associations run their own schools in the summer, some do not, but may have a place where you can go to gain the necessary training and certification. It really dependends heavily on where you live. Good luck.
