I don't think there were many (if any) good points that weren't simply BFO's (BFO = "blinding flash of the obvious.")
That said, it's up to the schools to limit the games of the officials. As long as we are independent contractors, we can't be expected to give up a pay check in order to spend time training. Think about it.
If these refs were to turn down games for training days, they are losing money in the process. If the schools don't like the quality of officiating, they should expand their pool. It's not like the refs are unionized.
Instead, they seem to prefer to b!tch about not getting every single call correct; and I doubt they are right 50% of the time (the coaches I mean).
