A week ago, I would probably have done what you did. But since some events happened last weekend and Monday night, I would have followed the advice I have had from the folks on this forum and from my association's president:
I would simply have used the stop sign (heh I learned well
) and tell him firmly, but not too loud "Enough, coach".

And it's a good thing you left it a feeling. You don't wan't to make the coach angrier nor establish any familiarity with him. That's my opinion, I don't know what others think!
