Yep -- and why have a foul signal for a technical foul. After all, if it's not holding, or pushing, or illegal use of hands, or PC, or handcheck, ... it must be a T.
And, why bother pointing in the home team's direction on OOB plays. After all, if you don't point in the visitor's direction, ...

My problem with that signal, although I used it almost all of last year (
it was a Michigan mechanic), is that the first time I ever saw it, a weak official used it, and I cannot get that fact outa my mind.
