At one school....there was a bit of a budgetary problem. The AD came into our locker room at half-time with the admissions cash box
and began counting out dollar bills for our game fees. That night they had enough "paying" fans in attendance that our crew got what we were contracted for.
We almost felt so bad
that we thought about donating it back....but we hadn't had supper before we worked the game and planned on stopping after the game.
Private school trying to make a go of it among public schools. Only one in this particular conference. Will probably fold after the academic year.
