Defensive players B12 & B41 legally and physically check attackman A17 somewhat simultaneously. A 17 withstands checks, bounces away, and attempts to go around defenders and towards the goal. The force of the collision, however, causes B41 to fall sideways and into the path of A17 who then tumbles over the prone defender.
I say no trip (nor illegal body check), it's incidental contact that is the result of legal play.
My partner, however, threw a flag and called the trip. His contention is that a trip is a trip.
Am I guilty of "letting them play?" or could this be an easy non-call?
