This is tough. I wish there was a way to make HS sports really important without going overboard. I think that people have to remember that the educational imperative is an imperative, not a preference.

I wish I knew how to do this. I think that part of it would be to require coaches to teach. Perhaps forcing schools to fund their lower profile sports better. In some districts in Canada, you cannot use booster funds for your team, that is too far, but maybe restrict their use, or include the booster funds into the entire funding formula.

This one is tough, I would be interested to see everyone else's idea.
