Boys Varsity game tonight. We administer the first free throw for a 2 shot bonus. After A1 misses the first free throw the horn sounds and the scorer says it is still 1 and 1. Since my partner caught the ball after the first shot in anticipation of the second, we decided to put the ball in play using the alternating possession rule. Team A coach asked what we were doing. We exlained it to him and he had no problem. The other coach didn't even ask about it. Was this right?
