Rick!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're alive!!!!!!!!!!!
How are things?
BITS,
Ditto to what Rick said. I'm guessing that the coach was kidding with you.
Although, I once conducted an entire captains meeting by saying, "Blah, blah, blah, ...." Since they don't listen to us anyway. The kids thought it was funny.
When I said that in response to the coach in the 1Qtr he was not amused.
Here's a news clip on the Spring Creek team you referred to:
"Spring Creek also has impressed with its outside marksmanship in its first three games.
David Neumann made seven 3-pointers to account for all 21 of his points as the Spartans lost 63-53 to Duchesne in the second round of the Utah schools tournament Saturday night. He has 11 treys in three games.
In Friday nights 41-40 win over Tabiona, another Utah school, Colby Satterthwaite knocked down five 3-pointers.
Duchesne was ranked third and Tabiona fifth in the Salt Lake Tribune preseason Utah 1A rankings. Both schools are much smaller than Spring Creek Duchesne would be a 2A in Nevada, Tabiona a 1A but Spartans coach Corey Thacker says the emphasis on basketball at both schools is total, making them tough to beat under any circumstances.
It was great going into that atmosphere, he said, and I think generally, Utah high school basketball is better than Nevada basketball."
Sadly, I have to agree with the coach about our basketball. But I'm sure that you already had gathered that from some of my previous posts.
