No it does not. The jump ball needs to be as high or just above 10 feet. If you try to get it higher than that, you probably cannot consistently throw the ball at that point. We are talking about a jump ball, not an exhibition on who can jump higher.

And for the record, there are many kids that can barely jump past 10 feet at the college level, let alone the HS Boy's playing varsity ball. Case in point the college game I worked about a week and a half ago.
