Page 85 of the 2004-05 Case Book has the following:
STATE ASSOCIATION ADOPTIONS
7 SITUATION B: If the scorer uses a computerized system instead of the traditional scorebook, is it legal? RULING: It is not permitted unless the state association has specifically approved and authorized its use to aid in game administration.


Therefore, I doubt that you will find anyone who has encountered them. I do not know of any state which has an adoption that allows them. Perhaps someone will tell us that their state allows them.
