Result? Score R3 and B1 stays on first. B1 can retreat toward home as long as he doesn't touch home plate. If he does, he is out. As far as other runners runnig backwards during play action, there is nothing wrong with that. Umpires that think this is against the rules need to put some time into reading the rules.
