Welcome to the board.

I have a comment about your play. This was covered in the NFHS State Clinic I attended and should have been in yours.

I know it is nice to "get" a coach who acts like a know-it-all. However, the moment the pitcher indicated she was not preparing to take her signals, but was going to make an appeal, the best thing to do was to suspend play. It is a good preventive umpiring move and can really keep you out of trouble. AND it provides you with one of your forty-two.
