Don't have my books with me, but I believe that A1's try ends when A2 touches the ball. If this had happened in the middle of the quarter, A2 would have received credit for the basket. Additionally, we have already established in another thread that if A1 had shot from beyond the 3 point arc, but A2 touches it inside the arc, the basket is worth only 2 points.
