First of all clipping is below the waist and from behind, not just in the back. Blocking in the back is another foul all together and different yardage.

Now I did not see the play or remember the play you are talking about so it is difficult to debate the validity of the call. It might be possible that the camera angle either caught the wrong action or the number that was given out was wrong. It is really hard to tell talking to you about it here on the computer screen.
