It is really the "approved" list which is to be posted, as well as the banned. I carry the banned list. Any bats without the 2004 seal (and not on the banned list) must be shown by the coaches to be on the approved list.
What I have been doing after checking for the banned, or damaged/altered bats is to ask the coach to show me his approved list. If he has that, I will make sure one, or two of the bats without the 2004 seal on them are on the approved list. If that checks out we play ball. Most of the coaches have all the team bats, and individual bat highlighted on the list. I had one team place 23 bats out for inspection once!
I would like to see an easier way to do this, maybe require the AD to certify the stuff, or just go to wood bats! It really hasn't been much confusion yet, but playoffs begin next week. If confusion comes, it will come there!
