I'm not a one-second guy either.
I usually do it by feel, and that is usually only about 60 seconds. I try to go longer on the weekend.
Ooops... wrong topic. :O
I know a violation of the not-setting-for-one-full-second when I see it - but I don't think I let anything less than 3/4 of a second go.
