In my part of NY (those that take part in the playoff system as not all sections do), teams have a 9 game schedule which this year started on 9/3 and runs to 10/30.
Starting on 11/5, teams in the each of the five size classifications continue on in games referred to as sectional/regional/semis and then finals.
