Nothing wrong with it? I hope you mean that you think it is adequate, not that it is perfect. However, let me explain one reason why I think it is inadequate.
A Force Play is a play in which a runner legally loses his right to occupy a base by reason of the batter becoming a runner. This defn identifies the event that causes a force play (batter becomes a runner,) but doesn't describe which runners or configurations of runners are affected and lose their right to occupy. And 7.08(e), which contains further info about a force play-- some of which should be in the defn--doesn't describe the configuration of runners either. So try this situation: R2 and BR hits safely. Is R2 in a force play? Neither the definition or the rule tells us. Of course any 8 year old knows the answer, but the point of having rules and definitions is to codify and make definite the details of the game.
