HORRIBLE!!! If a PU allows this to happen, he/she is a gutless jerk who has no business umpiring. And, if a FU(BU) tried pulling that dumb stunt on me, I would say in no uncertain terms, "That's MY call, and the runner is OUT. You have no right to try to overrule my call. I cant' believe that you would rather protect your area than get the call right.
I hope that you have just had a bad evening when you wrote this BZ and this isn't really your attitude.
It isn't an overrule of a call but additional information that you need to take into account.
Your response sounds more like ego than reality.
If you are my partner and have definate knowledge, give me what you have.
If my feelings can't handle a correction, then maybe it is time to get off of the field.
