Coaches Award
This thread leads back to one idea I've offered and that is a coach's award, given by the officials' association after the end of the season. The idea, of course, is to promote sportsmanship. Not only do you look for the type of class described here, but also for uniform sportsmanship from the players of that team, which indicates quality leadership. I know it isn't easy to do, and has pitfalls, but I believe it could pay dividends over the years.
