How do others describe or define "composition material" as it is used under the description of a bats safety grip? I ask this for opinions on the smooth rubber sleeve type grips. I think or consider this a possible violation and simply ask the coachs to have his/her trainer put a single wrap of athletic tape around it for a non-smooth grip surface. I have never had any problem with that approach until this past week-end and the coach seemed a little bothered by the request. Any thoughts?
