first i would bet my question has been addressed before but when i went to the search function it states that it has been disabled by the administrator, so...
playing under NFHS rules. first, when starters substitute back in the line-up (in the same spot), they must first play in the field before batting, correct? second, if they don't play in the field first and then bat, at what point does it not become an illegal substitution? after they complete their at bat (reaching safely or getting out)? in other words, when is a protest no longer valid? and if it's when the next batter comes to bat, what if the so called illegal substituted batter won the game with their at bat and the game is over?
thanks,
-dave
