You should expect this kind of response when posting this kind of joke. If you don't want to be rebuked, then you shouldn't post such jokes.
Many of us deal with the physically and mentally disabled regularly, and many of us also do work with Special Olympics. The joke you posted is frankly, crass, unfunny, and ignorant.
