I hope you were told that body-piercing rules were only enforced if there was some sort of accidental exposure, such as might happen in a scuffle for control. That's what I've been told repeatedly in the same association. What I do is point out to captains what the gruesome possibilities are if they DON"T take these items out. Then I don't worry about it.
