Not all are that bad. *coughs* Me. *coughs* I work the shot clock for my junior college games. It was late 1st half and team A was driving to the hoop. A1 was trying to pass to A2 but B1 deflected the ball while standing in the lane. The ball made contact with the hoop. No reset. One of the officials stopped play and walked to me asking for a reset. I said that I judged the play to be a pass. I thought we were going to get into an argument, but the referee stepped in, conferred, and agreed with me. Finally, I'm right about something.

How many of you in your pregame let the shot clock operator know that if they judge the play to be a pass and not a shot to keep from resetting the clock? In 3 years, I've heard it once. Not to blame you guys, but come on.
