In my game Friday night the black team had names on the back of their jerseys. On one particular OOB play the ball was last touched by a black player and I correctly (of course!) gave the ball to white.
A couple of players wanted to protest and I was pointing out the player that the ball went off of, just when I noticed that his last name was "White".
So, I went for the smart *** comment
and said "The ball went off White." and pointed to the player. The reply from one of the black team's players: "Ok, then it's black's ball!!!"
"No,
your White."
He looked over, saw the jersey, and laughed.
