Had a strange play tonight. Game in ITB - visitors scored one in their
half inning. 2 outs, R1 on 2B, R2 on 1B BR reaches when throw from F1 is
dropped by F5 at 3B. Ball is still live, thrown back to F1 in circle, looking at F2.
Bases loaded. Coaches positioned at 1st and 3rd yell
at each other, runner on first leaves the base, headed for dugout.
I call R3 out on LBR, then ask partner if she had called time.
She had not, I had not. 3 outs, game. Coach on 3B is beside herself.
Ask how we can make that call when she had "called time out."
