I just wanted to share the experience I had yesterday doing my first NCAA DIII Men's JV game.

First off thanks to the guys who responded with help on the rule differences. Not too many came into play except shot clock issues(nothing major).

I have always been told either here on the board or by the veterans in our association that as you move up in levels(ie Freshman to JV to Varsity HS to College) it gets easier to officiate. I had seen this somewhat but I had never really done a game that I went wow this is easier to officiate. Well even though it was a JV game I noticed this right off the bat.

I understood what watching off ball was when the ball was not in your primary but never realized how important it was to watch off ball when the ball is in your primary as well. We did this game with 2-man mechanics which made it a little tough but I thought we did a good job.

I think this might have been the most fun I've had refing a basketball game though. Hopefully doing a game like this will have identified a few things I need to work on and will make me a much better official. Sorry for just going on but I just wanted to let people how much I enjoyed and also thank all of you for your help.
