Rule 2-10 Article 1 explains what is correctable. This does not fall into any of those. Play on and try not to let it happen again. It should have been noticed by the officials before the ball was at the throwers disposal. That would have been preventable officicating.


If it wasn't it was a violation and the whistle should have been blown, cancelling that free throw. The shooting tam knows they are allowed only two in the lane. Violating that is not the officils responsibility. The officals only need to have the first wo sports occupied by the non-shooting team, unless it is under a reumption of play procedure.
