So maybe I lied and it's not a gimme.

NFHS (6-2-4) and NSA (6-8-c) both state that it is a "no pitch" if the runner has not retouched after a foul ball or dead ball. I was thinking that ASA's wording was for a foul ball, too, but I haven't looked at an ASA book for a few years.

In NFHS or NSA, I would have a "no call" in that no one did anything wrong.
