Count the basket.
With definite knowledge (not a guess-timate) take time off the clock, give the ball to Team B, and let them run the endline.
With no definite knowledge, keep the clock at .08, give the ball to Team B, and let them run the endline.
Note: I always keep a mental countdown clock in my head during the last seconds of a period.
