Since there was no touchdown three point signal given, it's treated as a correctable error and must be addressed and corrected within the correctable error time frame.
If there had been a touchdown three point signal given and it was mistakenly added as two points to the scorebook and scoreboard, that's a bookkeeping error that can be corrected until the officials leave the visual confines of the gym.
