I had the tournament rules, of course. Yes, the coaches mislabel EPs with whatever random letters come to mind. But that would not be in a legitimate "rules" publication. The labeling is not really the issue, just a symptom of the writer's mistake. The real problem is allowing 11 or more batters in bracket play.
My concern is that someone is misleading coaches and some umpires with what looks like an official rule.
I tried google, but suspect facebook or similar. A friend of mine that checked saw 9 USA softball groups on Facebook. I don't use facebook, so if any of you see this there or youtube or tiktok or wherever, please let me know.
