That’s my point - to enforce the rule, one has to actually see the jewelry underneath it. Which can only happen if the player happens to take off the tape in front of the ref (and the ref notices).
Rules without ways of enforcement are useless imo.

Not if we know about it. We can't merely just punish for the suspicion. It is what it is sometimes.
