Both of those links appear to be about a different order of events. In those, we had an airborne shooter fouled, then the buzzer sounded, then the shot was released. In those, situations, the try does not count if it goes in, but the shooter gets two (or three) free throws.

In the OP, the order of events sounds like a shot attempt with release, then the buzzer, then a foul while the shooter was still airborne. In this case, the ball is still live until it is either a made goal or is obvious that it will not be a goal. The goal counts if it goes in, and penalize the foul accordingly.
