Sportsmanship and Pregame Meeting/Addressing Illegal Uniforms, Equipment, and Apparel

Maybe it is because I am a cantankerous old codger but I am really tired of having to remind HCs about Sportsmanship and asking them to confirm that their Players are legally attired.

I know that the OhioHSAA, MichiganHSAA, and the FloridaHSAA have mandatory online state rules meetings for both HCs and Officials which spell cover this nonsense.

HCs are adults and are very capable of knowing how to conduct him/herself as well as how his/her Players are to conduct themselves, as well as knowing what is legal and what is illegal apparel well before the season starts.

The Pregame Meeting with the HCs should be: "Hello Coach I am John Smith. Have a good game." And quite possibly a reminder to signal which type of TO they want when a TO is requested.

I am done ranting. Everyone have a good weekend.
