Despite its pronunciation, just deserts, with one s, is the proper spelling for the phrase meaning "the punishment that one deserves." The phrase, using an older noun version of desert meaning "deserved reward or punishment," is spelled like the arid land, but pronounced like the sweet treat.
I looked it up before original post, wasn't sure myself.
Over my life, I've probably said it, or heard it, dozens of times, but never saw it, or put it, in writing before.
