Perhaps they played an exhibition game and tested out the 3-pointer then. Or they left the line from when the Muskies played there 11 years earlier.
Sorry to bring back an old thread but there is a 1976 Minnesota state tournament game on You Tube now and they said they hosted an ABA exhibition game and painted the line on the floor.
