That's Not Opportunity Knocking ...

Back in ancient times, as a young junior varsity official, after observing the varsity game, the two varsity officials and I went to the dressing room. After a polite knock on the door, and a polite request by the winning coach to come in, he was allowed to enter. Most of what happened next is just a blur, but what started out as, "Nice game guys", quickly escalated into a near fist fight, with one of the varsity officials and myself just barely keeping the other varsity official and the coach from killing each other.

Bo Schembechler (University of Michigan football coach), and my parents, said, "Nothing good ever happens after midnight".

I say, "Nothing good ever happens when a coach (even the winning coach) comes into the officials locker room".
