When I occasionally play a few games of pickup basketball and there is a questionable circumstance as to whom the ball went OOB on in "nearly simultaneous" touches--we typically will shoot a "do or die" 3 point shot to resolve the issue/possession.

As a high school level basketball official, when I see a simultaneous touch--for example a rebounding situation when: player A, player B, Ball---if player B's hand is contact with ball while attempting to gather [I know bad word on this forum BillyMac]and player A comes in and knocks it OOB while also contacting player B's hand, I will just award the ball to player A's team despite the fact that the ball was last in contact with player B's hand.

In neither case do we have the luxury [and time] of scrutinizing an instant reply from 200000 camera angles; therefore, these events are resolved as cited.
