Just about ANY comment, question, observation made by a Coach to an official, about the game, during any part of the game is dependent on how it is presented. Interactions presented civilly, respectfully, appropriately deserve a response in kind.
Should such an interaction be uncivil, disrespectful, inappropriate the response, exclusively in the judgment of the approached official, may involve a reaction producing consequences, ranging anywhere from simply ignoring, admonishing, penalizing as UNC, or if deemed flagrant immediate disqualification.
Like "Beauty", any consequence selected is "in the eye of the beholder".
